I hope the sun is shining in your part of the world, because it is beating down on Alberta with relentless heat right now.  I’m loving it!  This week your challenge is to get out there and enjoy the sun as well as use the sun creatively in your photos.  Look for interesting shadows, catch a sun flare, have another go at silhouettes or stay up late for a beautiful sunset.

As always, be creative and have fun!  I can’t wait to see all of your images.

52 Pick Up – Week 24 (Tell a Story) Review & This Week’s Photo Challenge

Happy Father’s Day!

I hope you had the chance to celebrate the special men in your life today.  I was able to celebrate Father’s Day with my loving husband and our two daughters.  The girls made their dad breakfast and our youngest then went on to be her daddy’s shadow.  She was also pretty excited to put together lemon fluff parfait’s for dessert tonight.  Our eldest, who is busy preparing for final exams, did her share helping out around the house before getting down to the business of studying.  I will admit I spent most of the day in front of the computer writing report cards.  Over 16, 000 words, and I think they are just about done!

Thank you ever so much to those of you who were able to participate this past week.  It is my hope that I haven’t missed anyone, but if I did please let me know.

Here are the links to week 24’s posts:

  • Scrapydo started with challenge off with a post on orchids producing beautiful flowers
  • Truth Above all Religion’s post was a humorous story of a little pup playing cards
  • Milepebbles posted a series of photos about a little sand crab

Week 25: Celebrating Fathers

In recognition of Father’s Day today our challenge this week is to celebrate the fathers in your life.  Share images of how you spent Father’s day or use your images to share some of the lessons you learned from dear old dad.

As always, be creative and have fun!  I can’t wait to see all of your images.

Week 24: Tell a Story

A large part of photography for me is telling a story.  How can you capture not only unique and pleasing images, but also take ones that do justice to the story you are wishing to tell?  This week is a challenge to use your photos to tell a story.

As always, be creative and have fun!  I can’t wait to see all of your images.
